Indonesia is delighted with the Indonesian player, InYourDream, who has officially entered one of the strongest teams in Asia, namely Fnatic.
Many think that this will be the beginning of success for InYourDream’s career as well as other professional DOTA 2 players, because many foreign teams have already looked at the abilities of Indonesian players.
However, it is unfortunate that bad news hit the Fnatic team a few days after ESL One Genting 2022 ended. 2 players left the team, namely YamateH and InYourDream.
Disappointment began to emerge from Fnatic fans, it could be likened to having fallen on a ladder too. After receiving many defeats in the 2022 ESL One Genting tournament, they were also hit by more difficulties at future Valve events, as Fnatic no longer had time to provide Valve’s team list.
That means that in the next few tournaments they will have to take part in an open qualifying round which is participated by any team that has not been registered or invited by Valve.
In addition, disappointment also arose from Indonesian DOTA 2 fans. Because now, they can no longer see the pride of Indonesia’s players fighting in the international arena for a while.
It hasn’t even been a week since InYourDream has entered Fnatic, it certainly makes many parties less able to accept this decision due to family and education factors. Here’s an official quote from the Fnatic website about InYourDream’s departure.
The poor results obtained by Fnatic are thought to be due to the lack of playing time together between the new Fnatic squad and maybe also due to communication problems as revealed in Truesight where the Fnatic team have a big problem in communication.
But if you look more closely, actually Fnatic is only in a very difficult bracket. Where in the first round, they had to face a tough team from Russia, namely Vitrus Pro.
Even when they went down to the lower bracket, they had to fight a fairly popular team, namely Team NP, which consisted of players with very high flying hours. So that bad results in the match are normal and not because of the problem of poor player ability, because they are the best professional players of Fnatic’s choice. And you also need to know that InYourDream was once the player with the highest MMR in Southeast Asia.
Apart from that, the InYourDream game is actually quite good. As in the first match, InYourDream did have difficulties against NoOne in the Mid lane, but this was natural because the Vitrus Pro team did Outworld Devourer in the last pick phase after Fnatic picked Templar Assassin for InYourDream.
Even so, InYourDream can be said to have managed to keep up with NoOne without giving a kill in the first minute, because NoOne is a player who really likes to look for kills in the early minutes. Unfortunately, Fnatic, who was not ready to fight in the first minute, inevitably had to join the fight, which made it difficult for him to develop the game and in the end had to admit defeat in the 27th minute.
The main problem faced by Fnatic can be said to be in their draft which is still not qualified in patch 7.01 in DOTA 2. Because as can be seen in the battle against the NP team, they cannot read the strategic direction of the NP Team so it is difficult to fight back. Though the draft is arguably very important for a team to be able to win the game, when a team has the same player skills.
Hopefully the decision that InYourDream makes is the best decision for him and hopefully in the future there will be new Indonesian players who reach the international level. Considering the quality of Indonesian players who are able to compete with other players in Southeast Asia.
