Google is working to ensure the facility of booking appointments through Google Calendar. The search engine giant is going to add a new appointment scheduling feature in google apps.
Google launched the first feature for users of workspace in June last year. The company appointment scheduling feature, it allows users to explain their status for a conversation and meeting through the booking page. Any clients, stakeholders, partners and others can meet someone face to face or via Google Meet on video calls using the booking page.
Creating a bookable appointment from a desktop computer to Google Calendar is as simple as creating a new event or task. This can be added by clicking on the plus icon that is there. However, at present, google workspace needs to have a paid account to use the feature.
The appointment scheduling feature of Google Calendar seems similar to the current appointment slot feature, but it is completely different in terms of features and usage. The appointment slot feature is used for internal work.
But, it does not matter who needs to meet here. On the other hand, through appointment scheduling, people outside their organization, who do not have a Google account, he/she will also be able to book to meet. But, there is no problem of double booking or re booking here. Because, the feature is able to do the booking work in line with the time of the existing event in the calendar.
