PUBG Corporation announced it will hold the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) this November with a $2 million or IDR 28 billion (14 thousand) prize pool. This tournament is the biggest prize tournament ever held in PMGC thanks to PMGC’s main sponsor, Qualcomm.
PUBG Mobile Esports combines the PUBG Mobile World League with the World Championship for PMGC, which will host teams from America, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
But the PUBG Mobile Global Championship isn’t the only announcement from PUBG Mobile. Because this game will also update on September 8, to PUBG Mobile version 1.0.
The version update includes a number of visual and design improvements, including a 30% increase in framerate and a 76% reduction in lag. However, this improvement is still dependent on the type of mobile device the player is using.
PUBG upgrade updates include particle quality graphics, smoke, air blasts, and the addition of scope interactions that make every shot more realistic.
“PUBG mobile update will comeImproved lighting systems and texture quality bring vegetation, sky and water to life. The quality of the models and textures have also been improved to provide a more realistic feel and high-quality experience.” As quoted from the PUBG development team in its press release.
Players will also see detailed improvements to the player character and main lobby visuals, as well as battlefield visuals. The user interface and user experience have also been redesigned to help add more realistic to PUBG Mobile.
The PUBG mobile update this time seems to be a warm welcome for all gamers, especially gamers who plan to participate in PMGC. If it goes according to plan, considering that we are currently still in a pandemic atmosphere, the PMGC will only start at the end of November.
PUBG Mobile was first released in February 2022. Since then, it has been downloaded more than 600 million times. The game has more than 50 million daily active players.
