What is Huawei's alternative to the Google Play Store? What will be the source from which to download the apps on the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro?
As you know, Huawei Mate 30 series smartphones are equipped with an Open Source version of the Android operating system, customized, among other things, with the new EMUI 10, but they do not support Google apps and services.
On the new Huawei Mate 30 and Huawei Mate 30 Pro, in fact, not only is the Play Store missing, but it is not even possible to install and launch Google apps like YouTube, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Drive, Google Pay, Google Chrome ... in short , just some of the most used applications in the world.
However, Huawei already has the solution ready to offer its users a valid alternative to all this: its AppGallery. The Store already hosts many titles, from the most famous games to apps in each category, and offers developers the possibility of making their app available on the Store in a very simple and convenient way.
On the new smartphones, the AppGallery apps rely on Huawei Mobile Services, that is a set of APIs and services created by the Chinese giant that replace all the features offered by Google. In short, although with some small waivers, surely in Huawei's AppGallery it will be possible to find any kind of application able to satisfy everyone's needs.
