As a game lover, of course I have also played online games. Even when I was still actively playing online games, I could spend hours at the internet cafe.
I’ve played the most popular online games in its era at least once, even among those online games that made me addicted.
What are the most popular online games in the old days?
1. Ragnarok Online
Honestly, I’m not a Ragnarok player. However, as a former internet cafe kid, I have experienced the extraordinary atmosphere of the Ragnarok players. When playing in an internet cafe, usually they will be busy by themselves because it might be so much fun.
I remember what my friend said that Ragnarok is a very fun game, even according to him, if you are addicted, you are willing to steal your parents’ money, sadistic or not!
Even when they are hanging out, discussions about Ragnarok will immediately come out and the audience will forget the time when they have talked about this one game. Almost all of my colleagues at that time were Ragnarok players.
2. RAN Online
Well, this is the first online game that I played, hahaha. When trying to play this game I was surprised because of its features that allow me to interact with other players. Because of this, I became very addicted and often went to the internet cafe every time I came home from school.
This game is unique because we will be schoolchildren who do hunting and can fight with other schools, the term is PK. The graphics of this game at that time were quite cool, complete with the effects of the explosion of cool moves.
The last time I played, I was stuck at level 170 complete with a treasure dag sword (who has played will know).
3. SEALS Online
The graphics are cute but fun, maybe this is what SEAL online looks like. This game was also very popular with internet cafe gamers. The pattern of the game may be similar to RAN Online, but it seems SEAL looks more like an RPG.
The many equip models and cool mounts make people willing to spend an extraordinary amount of money to strengthen their SEAL character, it’s not too bad to include SEAL as one of the most popular online games in the past.
4. Gunbound
In the past, I once said to my friend that Gunbound is a boring game. However, this one shooting game has its own characteristics for its time.
That’s what made Gunbound quite existent at that time, when I went to the internet cafe, many internet cafe children played this game.
5. Audition Ayodance
Well, this is the second online game that I played. As usual, at first I thought that this game was more suitable for women, but it turned out that I found it fun when I tried this game firsthand.
Plus at that time many of my colleagues were playing this game. After learning, it turns out that this game is very interesting because it really relies on skill and not money. This game is not very money oriented because money is only used to modify characters to make them look more handsome.
Every day, you will feel challenged by this game. My favorite song in this game is HMS (Heavy Metal Syndrome). If you are alone?
6. Dragon Nest
Good Soul! That’s one sentence that I deserve to pin on Dragon Nest. Honestly, I used to be addicted to this game.
Some of you must know what this game is like, especially for internet cafe kids, the first time I played this game was the SEA (Southeast Asia) version but when Gemscool tried to bring Dragon Nest Indonesia, I finally moved.
I’ve been playing this game for a long time on the SEA server for about 1 and a half years, consistently almost every day for eight hours. At that time I already had a PC and internet at home, so my hours of playing online games were getting crazy. At Dragon Nest Indonesia, my playing hours are getting worse, hahaha.
This game is incredibly feature-packed and absolutely perfect from a technical point of view. The challenges are also quite difficult because we have to have a solid strategy to be able to conquer the existing boss.
This game is suitable for quality MMORPG fans in terms of visuals and gameplay. Dragon Nest also had a large fanbase at that time, so many gatherings took place. Maybe it’s not wrong if I make Dragon Nest the most popular game in the past.
Unfortunately, the last time I went online was a week ago and Dragon Nest isn’t as busy as it used to be.
7. RF Online
Rising Force Online is probably the most successful old school MMORPG after Ragnarok Online. When it appeared, Rising Force Online or better known by the abbreviation RF became an exciting alternative for MMORPG fans who like sci-fi themes.
In Rising Force you become one of three factions that fight each other, namely Bellato with a characteristic short stature and can use giant robots.
Cora with a tall stature and good at using magic and summoning monsters, and Accretia which is a robot race that has a special weapon that can produce deadly explosions from a distance called a launcher.
Rising Force is once again attracting a lot of players thanks to its fun PvP system, which allows all three factions to simultaneously battle each other for a cave filled with valuable materials three times a day (like eating medicine).
The war between the three nations and the ability of the players to become the nation’s leader or minister make the war very exciting. I myself used to be willing to get up early in the morning to participate in the war the morning before going to school.
