Legendary bounty hunter Dante has the most armor on Devil May Cry. Along with his old favorite Rebellion and his twin handguns, he also finds ornaments including a demon hat that uses red orbs as bullets, and a powerful motorcycle that can transform into a large saw blade.
However, there’s one weapon in the game that’s very easy to overlook, opening access to a set of guns that, when combined together, make up the game’s most powerful shooters.
To give you some idea, one of the weapons that Dante will acquire later in the game (and you can see it in the trailer) is the Kalina Ann II, a heavy rocket launcher specially made for the Lady bounty hunter. The real Kalina Ann is also a weapon that Dante can use in Devil May Cry 3.
The second version of the weapon was intended as a replacement after the original was lost in combat. The awesome Kalina Ann II can fire powerful missiles and mini rockets, causing serious damage to nearby enemies. However, there is a way to track down and get the real Kalina Ann in one of the missions.
In mission 11, you will control Dante and explore a crumbling city. During the middle of the level, you will arrive at a large tower tied with demon hair. Attacking the first blood clump will kill a series of hairs, causing the building to sink. Underneath the platform were two more blood clots.
While you can destroy the one closest to the exit, there’s another one near the tower that makes it sink even deeper. Destroying these blobs will also unlock access to the secret mission area.
You can also find a hole at the bottom of the floor that leads to the room. Enter the room and approach the broken table to find an item. Take the item and Dante will get the original Kalina Ann rocket launcher.
If you have both rocket launchers, Dante will combine them together to form the Double Kalina Ann. Basically holding both rocket launchers together, firing together, this is a high-power Devil Hunter weapon.
In addition to firing rockets with high speed and power, Dante can combine the two weapons together to unlock new moves, such as powerful laser attacks. In the Gunslinger style, Double Kalina Ann’s movement and power increase greatly, adding more options to combat.
This gun delivers an odd number of shots, but if you find carrying two rocket launchers too heavy, you can set your weapon to use just one, opting for the Original Kalina Ann or an upgrade. Even so, the Double Kalina Ann is a versatile weapon, fast, killing off groups of enemies, and also powerful for taking out single enemies.
