The DP-28 known as the Light Machine Gun (LMG) is one of the popular weapons in the PUBG Mobile game. As an effective weapon in mid-range combat, the DP-28 has several advantages and disadvantages.
According to one PUBG Mobile pro player, Bintang Prakoso Pramenda Sinaga aka Boom Kent, the DP-28 is an alternative to DMR weapons for 3/4 players. Kent mentions the DP-28 as the most effective weapon to use for the mid-range because the rate of fire is slow which makes the recoil of this weapon easier to control.
According to Kent, one of the advantages of the DP-28 is its more stable recoil compared to other LMGs, thus making it superior in medium to long-range combat.
"The DP-28 weapon uses 7.62mm bullets which makes this weapon have a low recoil rate. This LMG can be used for medium-long distances stably, whereas if we compare it to other LMGs such as the M249 which uses 5.56mm bullets and has a low recoil rate high, the M249 is more difficult to use for medium-long distances," explained Kent.
However, Kent also mentioned that there is a major weakness of the DP-28 weapon, namely the damage that tends to be low so it is not suitable for close combat. "In close combat, the M249 is far superior (compared to the DP-28) because of the higher recoil rate. This makes the damage per second of the M249 more painful than the DP-28 even though the damage of the DP-28 is higher," he said.
Kent also shares tips for players who want to master the DP-28 weapon. According to him, this weapon should be used as an alternative weapon compared to the main weapon.
"With the nerf provided in the previous update, this weapon is not the first choice for any role in the game. This weapon is an alternative to DMR and is better paired with all-around weapons such as the M416 or SCAR-L. Never pair the DP-28 with bolt-action because the DP-28 has a slow reload speed," he said.
"In my opinion, the best way to use it is in burst mode because the first 5 bullets are very stable," he continued.
