Oppo is reportedly preparing to launch its first flagship foldable smartphone, which they call the Oppo Find N on December 15. This was revealed by the company's Chief Product Officer.
“This is our first flagship foldable smartphone, the Find N, as a result of four years of research and development and six generations of prototypes. This device is Oppo's answer to the future of smartphones, and one of the products that I have been looking forward to since I served as CPO at Oppo," said Lau in his official statement.
The Oppo Find N will come with the company's latest fast charging technology, high refresh rate, multi-camera module with varying focal lengths and also 5G network support .
"Whether it's fast charging technology, high refresh rates, mobile photography with multiple focal lengths, or 5G networks, smartphone development has reached its limits, requiring new ways of thinking and approaches, in order to continue to innovate," he added.
Lau revealed that the first generation of the Oppo Find N prototype was first introduced in April 2018.
"Although many other brands have introduced their foldable devices to the market, limitations such as utility, durability and user experience continue to prevent foldable devices from becoming more suitable for the everyday needs of most users," Lau explained.
He also said that Oppo had to restart their foldable smartphone project several times before finally reaching the final version last year, making it a dream product that came true.
According to him, the use of the name Find N on Oppo's first folding smartphone device is considered to represent a new possibility. With this device, Oppo strives to continue to push the presence of a new chapter of smartphone devices.
