Transfer data from Huawei to Huawei with Bluetooth
The first method you can use to transfer data from one Huawei device to another is by using Bluetooth . Don't you know what this technology is? Strange. In any case, it is a short distance wireless communication standard that allows you to connect two or more devices for data transmission without using cables.
Therefore, it allows you to transfer data such as photos or videos, but also to play a phone call in the earphones or make a pairing between the phone and the on-board computer of the car, just to give some examples. If you want to know more about this topic, I suggest you read this guide of mine .
That said, to start the transfer of any data via Bluetooth , you must first enable this technology on both Huawei devices involved in the operation. To do this, access the Android Notification Center by swiping from top to bottom, near the top edge of the screen. At this point, tap on the Bluetooth icon and that's it. To learn more, you can read my guide on how to activate Bluetooth .
Now, in case you want to sen a media file, tap on the Gallery app and press the thumbnail of the photo or video you want to send to the other Huawei device. Once this is done, press the Share icon , located at the bottom right, and choose the Bluetooth option from the box that is shown to you.
On the screen you see, select the name of the Huawei device you want to send the file to and tap first on the latter and then on the Accept button , in the notification that is shown at the top of the screen. After the transfer process is complete, the media file will be available within the Gallery app of the other Huawei device.
The procedure described above can also be performed to transfer documents or music files, using the File Manager app , or to send the details of a contact from the address book. The operation to be carried out is to open the document or the contact card, select the Share item and, finally, choose Bluetooth as the means for transferring data.
Transfer data and photos from Huawei to Huawei
Another way to transfer data from Huawei to Huawei is to use the native Huawei Share feature : this tool is very similar to iOS's AirDrop and guarantees a higher data transmission speed than the Bluetooth interface, of which I have spoken in the previous chapter .
To enable Huawei Share , you need to open the Android Notification Center by swiping from top to bottom, near the top edge of the screen. Then, among the icons you see, you have to tap on the one called Huawei Share and press the Activate button , in the box that is shown to you below. You will also need to do the same on the other Huawei device involved in the data exchange.
After carrying out this operation, all you have to do is access the data you want to share on your Huawei smartphone / tablet. In the case of photos and videos, you can find them in the Gallery app ; the other types of files, on the other hand, are available through the File Manager app . Finally, as for contacts, you just need to access the name card through the Contacts app .
After you have opened the file to transfer, tap on the Share icon , which you find in the bar at the bottom right. In the box that is shown to you, wait a few moments for the icon with the name of the device to send data to be shown , right above all the other options available by default. You just have to tap on this last icon to start the data transmission. On the Huawei device that will receive the data, you will have to press the Accept button , in the notification that is shown to you at the top of the screen.
In addition to the system I told you about in the previous paragraphs, you may also be interested in the Huawei Beam functionality , which consists in the use of NFC , as a means of transferring data from one Huawei device to another.
Unfortunately, this feature is not available on all devices but, if it is present on yours, you can take advantage of it by activating the NFC. Then access the Android Notification Center (by swiping from top to bottom, near the top edge of the screen) and press the icon called NFC . If you want to know more about how to activate NFC on Huawei terminals, you can refer to my guide dedicated to the topic. Do the same procedure on the second Huawei device as well.
Now, To start the data transfer, open the photo, video or document to share and press the Share button , located in the bar located at the bottom right. In the box that is shown to you, locate and select the Huawei Beam option . At this point, place the device next to the one that will receive the data and respond positively to the warning that is shown on both screens, to start the file transfer process.
App to transfer data from Huawei to Huawei
If you want to transfer all data from one Huawei device to another , perhaps because you are upgrading to a newer model, you can use the Phone Clone app , which is pre-installed on most Huawei devices . Through this app, you can transfer any type of data, including your contacts , SMS , photos , videos , music , apps and any other type of document , from one terminal of the well-known Chinese company to another.
To use this tool, launch the Phone Clone app on both devices, using the quick launch icon located on the home screen. Then select the New Phone item on the Huawei device that will receive the data, while choosing the Old Phone option on the one from which you will have to send it.
When you select the New Phone item , in the box that is shown to you, choose the Android Device option . Now, what you have to do is use the old device to scan the QR code that you find on the screen of the new one: in a few moments, the connection will be made and you can select the type of data to be transferred, putting a check mark on alongside the different voices.
Well: now you just have to press the Transfer button on the old device and the OK button on the new one: by doing so, the data transmission will start from one device to another, which will require a variable amount of time (depending on the amount of files to transfer).
If you want to learn more about the topic related to Huawei's Phone Clone app , my advice is to read this guide dedicated to it.
Program to transfer data from Huawei to Huawei
If you want to act as a PC to transfer data from one Huawei to another, then I recommend using the HiSuite software , developed by Huawei to manage its smartphones and tablets from computers (both Windows and Mac).
Through HiSuite , you can create and restore backups or manage individual data to export or import to the device. The first thing you need to do to use it is to install the software on your computer by downloading the installation file from the manufacturer's official website .
At this point, if you are working from Windows , press the Windows Download button to download the .zip archive containing the program. Then move the contents of the archive to any folder on your PC and double-click the .exe file you just extracted. Once this is done, press the Yes button , in the Windows User Account Control box, and click the Next , Allow and finally Start buttons to complete the HiSuite setup.
If you are using macOS , instead, click on the Mac Download button , to be directed directly to the Mac App Store . Then press the Get button and then Install , to start the download and automatic installation of HiSuite. You may be asked to verify your identity by entering your Apple ID password or Touch ID (if your Mac supports this technology).
After starting the Huawei software, connect your smartphone or tablet to the PC, using the supplied cable, and press the Transfer files option on the device screen. At this point, press the OK button to enable the connection with the HiSuite software on the PC.
At this point, you will receive a warning on the PC that will inform you that the HiSuite app will be installed on the Huawei smartphone or tablet, to continue with the wizard. Then press the Allow button on the device screen to complete the connection process. You will also have to perform this procedure on the other Huawei smartphone or tablet, connecting it to the PC with HiSuite started.
After carrying out the operations I indicated in the previous paragraphs, connect the device from which you want to transfer the data again to the PC and press on one of the colored boxes, based on the type of data you want to export to the PC ( Contacts , Messages , Photos or Video ). At this point, in the new screen you see, put a check mark on what you want to transfer and press the Export button , located at the bottom right. Then choose the destination folder and press the OK button .
Now, disconnect the device and connect the one that will receive the data to the PC. In the HiSuite main screen, choose the type of data to import and then press the Import button , located at the bottom right. Then choose the previously exported files and press the Open button . If you have carefully followed the procedure I have described to you, you will have successfully transferred the contents from one Huawei to another.
Other methods to transfer data from Huawei to Huawei
In addition to the methods I have indicated to you in the previous chapters, you can also use other systems that allow you to transfer data from Huawei to Huawei . For example, you can use instant messaging apps, such as WhatsApp , Messenger or Telegram , to send files of any type.
Alternatively, you can use cloud storage systems, such as Google Drive , OneDrive, or Dropbox , to upload your files online. You can also rely on data synchronization on the Google account , to transfer your contacts or calendar appointments.
