The Sock5 proxy server forwards your network data requests to the destination through a channel connecting you and the proxy server. You have not joined any new network, but the http/socks data is forwarded and sent out by the proxy server, and the response is received from the proxy server. The communication process between you and the proxy server will not be processed additionally. If you use https, it is itself encrypted.
