WordPress is very easy to install and takes less than five minutes to complete. It is known for its ease of installation. All web hosting companies allow WordPress installation in a few clicks. There are different ways to install WordPress on the system.


Methods to install WordPress
Using CPanel

The fastest and easiest way is to install WordPress on your system using cPanel software. The most common tools available to automatically install WordPress are Softaculous, SimpleScripts, Fantastico and De Luxe. All web hosts allow one-click install through these devices.

All you need to do is choose a WordPress host and use the installation script in cPanel. After signing up for the hosting plan, you will get your login details and URL link of cPanel via email.

Using MS Webmatrix

Microsoft is a free software program called Webmatrix that allows WordPress installation on local systems. But this installation is only for Microsoft users. This software creates local servers, databases and everything else required for WordPress installation on the system and therefore, it does not require any live server.

After installation through this method you can easily go to the live web server after choosing the web host.

On local server

You can use software such as XAMPP, WAMP and MAMP (for Mac users) to install WordPress on a local server. These software usually provide you with Apache, Database MySQL on PhpMyAdmin which is required for installation.

Here, all you need to do is create a WordPress database using PhpMyAdmin and edit the wp config file.

Manually using cPanel or FTP

 WordPress can be manually installed using cPanel or FTP. This creates a new database for adding your files and databases by uploading WordPress files to the root directory on your web server.

How to Install WordPess on local server (How to install WordPress on local server)
WordPress can be installed using local servers such as XAMPP, WAMPP, etc. We will assume that your system has already installed a local server.

Our system has an XAMPP server installed. Now, we will learn to install WordPress.

Creating Database

Open phpmyadmin from the XAMPP server control panel.
Click on the database above to create a database. You will see the next window.

You need to create a database to connect with your WordPress. You can name it anything. Here, we have given it the name of wordpress. Type the name of the database and click on Create.

Download and Install WordPress

First of all you have to download the latest version of WordPress from the official WordPress site www.wordpress.org in your system.
WordPress will be downloaded in Zip format. This WordPress zip folder should be placed in the XAMPP folder C: / xampp / htdocs
Unzip the WordPress folder here and name it anything. Here, we have given it the name of wordpress.

Open the created WordPress folder. In the folder, find the file wp-config-sample.php and rename it as wp-config.php file.

• Scroll to the file Untill line number 23 as shown in the snapshot below.
• These lines define the login credentials for your database.
• Enter "database_name_here" name of your database here.
• username _here Here, change the username to your "Root".
• The "password_here" field will be empty.
• Save and close the file.
• Now, open your browser and go to http: // localhost / wordpress /
• Here, WordPress is the folder for the unzipped WordPress file.
• Choose your language and click on the Continue button.

You have to fill all the details in the above field and then click on the Install button.
If all the above processes are done correctly, you will be logged in successfully in WordPress as shown in the snapshot above.
