Xiaomi MIUI 11: the gestural navigation of Android 10 finally arrives.
Xiaomi is finally adding gesture navigation to MIUI 11. The OS had most of the functionality of Android 10, but gesture navigation was still missing. The manufacturer finally integrates it in beta version. The new gesture navigation system makes it even easier to navigate between running applications and quickly access the most useful features.
MIUI regularly welcomes new features, most of which do not exist in the basic Android version. But one of the areas where Xiaomi was always late is support for the new gesture navigation of Android 10 in MIUI 11. It is finally available in the latest OS update. The deployment begins as usual in China and is intended for beta users.
The functionality should very soon arrive in stable version in MIUI 11 before its deployment everywhere in the world. It should be noted that Xiaomi's overlay already had its own gesture navigation, but the new navigation system introduced by Android 10 improves the user experience. How to activate the new MIUI 11 gesture navigation?
The functionality is certainly not yet available in France, but Xiaomi explains how to activate it in the beta of MIUI 11. So here is how to proceed as soon as it is offered in our countries on Xiaomi smartphones compatible with MIUI 11.
Open the Settings menu, and then tap Display.
Scroll down and go to the Full Screen View menu.
Tap Full screen to activate gesture navigation.
The functionality is being tested, Xiaomi specifies that bugs could be encountered by eligible users. We don't know when the stable version will be deployed, but the manufacturer promises that it will soon be available in the global version of MIUI 11.
