Rumors are swirling around Apple's upcoming 16-inch MacBook Pro, and a new image of the laptop's design was discovered this week that sparked the internet even more. According to a report by 9to5Mac, the new image appeared in the release build of MacOS Catalina 10.15.1. A notable takeaway from the front image: a Touch ID key separate from the touch bar screen. This means that the laptop may have physical escape keys according to the report.
Apple made a slight update to its MacBook Pro lineup during the WWDC in July. Its 13- and 15-inch computers include Intel's faster eighth and ninth-gen core processors, including eight-core versions. It also announced a redesigned keyboard for the MacBook Pro. Shortly thereafter, however, rumors started floating around that Apple is working on variations of the laptop.
It was also reported in August that Apple would begin production on the new Pro model in September and end in November and could result in 15.4-inch laptops being canned. Forbes said the 16-inch MacBook Pro will run on Intel's Coffee Lake H refresh processor.
Other rumors swirling about the new MacBook Pro include a keyboard redesign this year, which closes the old butterfly keyboard mechanism for the scissor mechanism. Apple launched its computer in 2015 in an effort to make the laptop lighter and thinner. Started their butterfly switch design with improvements, but customers complained about sticky keys, as well as typing letters in duplicate or off course not.
