Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha coming with curved display and 5G
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is the new device of the company with a curved display and equipped with 5G, will be presented in September and there is already some information.
Xiaomi has released some teasers via Weibo (a Chinese social media). Through these teasers the company confirms the existence of the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha. Furthermore, the rather curved display and support for 5G is also confirmed.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha among the new September products
Mi 9 Pro will arrive on September 24th. The company has also promised the flagship of the brand, Mi MIX with MIUI 11. The company's new TV will become official during the same conference. Everyone assumes that the Mi MIX device mentioned by Xiaomi will be the Mi MIX 4. This is still a possibility, as it is rumored that both Mi MIX 4 and Mi MIX Alpha are coming. MI MIX Alpha and Mi 9 Pro will come with 5G connectivity. The Mi Mix Alpha will be a great competitor for Vivo NEX 3 due to its high screen-body ratio.
Super curved display
The display of the new device bends in all corners. This display will occupy about 70 percent of the phone. According to some, the curvature and development of this screen are part of the so-called fourth stage. Mainly, in fact, there are five different variants: Flat, Curved, Waterfall, Super-curve and Surround. This display belongs to the "super-curve" category, as it does not completely enclose the sides. However, we still don't know what it will really be like. We know that it will have extremely thin edges and a super-curved display in terms of design, but it is practically everything.
What we can assume according to the various rumors is that the device will probably be made of metal and glass or metal and ceramic. Snapdragon 855 Plus will almost certainly power this smartphone. It is expected to be shipped with up to 12 GB of RAM. The display will probably be AMOLED, that's for sure. Finally, Android 10 should already be pre-installed with MIUI 11. The Mi 9 Pro, on the other hand, will probably look the same as the Mi 9, but it will be more powerful, with Snapdragon 855 Plus. Apart from that, not much is known yet of the new smartphones of the company.
